  • Great question! In general, the loose rule of thumb is when your business gets close to the six figure mark. Everyone has a different relationship with bookkeeping and different businesses grow at different rates. If you cannot get caught up and are missing things like sales tax deadlines and getting fines, etc, now may be the time. Also, if you know your time trying to deal with the ins and outs of bookkeeping would amount to more revenue than the cost of a bookkeeper if focused elsewhere, that’s also a good indicator!

  • Not to worry! There is a lot you can do on your own when you’re just not there yet. Indigo Bookkeeping has some great resources coming soon! Be sure to fill out the Request a Quote form and indicate you’re not quite ready yet, and we’ll put you on our list to be notified when the new solutions are available!

  • I want to get to know you and your business! The first step after filling out my Request a Quote form is to set up a short call so you can tell me about your business, what you’re looking for, and any pain points.

  • I will be totally up front and transparent with you on all pricing! There are no hidden fees and everything will have a clear quote and require a signed agreement before any work starts.

    In general, if you already have a QBO or Zoho Books account set up and in use, a diagnostic review will likely be the first step to see where your books are at. You will receive a full, detailed report on your books, no matter whether you choose to work with me on an ongoing basis after that or not. Payment for this service is due before work starts.

    If you do not have any books set up yet, there will be an initial setup fee. Payment for this service is due before work starts.

    For monthly/quarterly ongoing services, payment is due on the 1st of the month of service. We will set up auto billing so you don’t have to remember to pay every month, but you are not locked into any time commitment! With 7 days advance notice, our partnership can be ended at any time unless otherwise noted in the contract.

  • As your business grows, your books will become more complicated. We evaluate your growth midway through the year and at the end of the year to make sure you’re in the correct tier.

  • I love meeting small business owners! And bookkeeping requires fairly frequent communication, so I end up being friends with many clients. I also love referring people to business owners I know if the opportunity arises!
